Volunteering for Ice on Whyte, Jan. 27-29, 2023

Ice On Whyte is excited to accept new and returning volunteers in 2023! Ice On Whyte is a great opportunity for you to get involved in your community, meet new people, and be part of an exceptional team!

The festival takes place in the heart of Old Strathcona at McIntyre Park, 83 Ave. between 103 and 104 Ave. It includes the ever-popular Chippers and children’s slide, sculpture carvers and demonstrations, a hot chocolate stand, and fire pits for ambiance and warmth.

We bring winter to life!

Ice on Whyte volunteers possess unique characteristics:

  • Appreciation for winter
  • Adoration for fun
  • Affection for outdoor activities
  • Willingness to engage and interact with others

In 2020, 80 fantastic volunteers contributed over 1200 hours of service that helped to make last year such a success! We look forward to hearing from you and having you as a part of our 2023 Volunteer Team!

Refreshment and warming breaks, complete with hot chocolate and a snacks, are provided in our toasty dining car. If it is a cold day, hand warmers will keep you cozy and help you enjoy your experience.

After completing your shifts, you have the opportunity to receive a signed reference letter or verbal reference regarding your role on site.
